Spice, The Surprise Of Life

For a long time, almost forever, there has been a widely believed perception that nutritious or 'healthy' food is just bland and boring.  It's common sense  that a salad is far more healthier than a burger, but our taste buds love the burger way more than the plain salad. However, with  the introduction of some kind of seasoning or spices, any food will become exponentially more enjoyable.

But imagine if you were to marinate that chicken breast with flavorful herbs and spices, the taste can change radically, and your boring home dinner becomes a totally different experience.

People will always be eager to point out that, whilst the grilled chicken might include less calories than a large bucket of fried chicken, the taste just doesn't compare.
Yet another exmaple: you may feel as if eating tuna salad in your sandwiches tastes bland, even though tuna is far from tasteless. However if you introduce a little bit of spice and mix it in, you'll find that there's a variety of different tastes that you can experience without adding a crazy amount of calories.

Some examples of our favorite spices are garlic powder, cayenne, cumin, turmeric, paprika, nutmeg, bay leaf, dried basil and ginger

Next time you're at the supermarket, pick up a few of these ^ and experiment with your basic home dishes- you won't regret it!
